| On-road Training & Risk Assessment
|
On-road training is universally recognised as the single most effective way to reduce driver related incidents. Our risk management programmes assist your business to reduce your fleet running costs and improve your driver risk profile. Via Rock Automotive's team of qualified expert trainers, our On-road training provides a learning environment which encourages your drivers to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Our On-road training courses can be delivered to any location throughout Europe and for a duration that suits your business needs.
On-road driver training is designed to achieve 2 main objectives:
- Ensure greater hazard and risk perception in order to reduce the drivers vulnerability to accidents.
- Examine specific areas of driving skill and address any areas of concern.
Rock Automotive's training courses include industry leading video footage followed by hands on experience of ‘real world’ driving situations. All training is delivered in a manner that we guarantee your drivers will enjoy, thus enhancing their learning experience. Our trainers seek to create a sense of ownership and accountability in drivers who may not previously have recognised the level of risk they face in their daily work.
Rock Automotive will supply the professional driver/trainer, all video footage, classroom training materials and equipment; we will also administer all pre-course booking schedules and provide post course individual electronic risk assessment profiles.
Typically, a course will comprise:
- Licence, eyesight and vehicle check
- An introduction to safer driving and its benefits to the individual, the company and society in general
- Concentration, observation and anticipation
- The system of vehicle control, including best fuel efficiency
- Specific solutions matched to the experience of the driver - for example, maneuvering, reversing and parking accidents
- The principles of skid avoidance and skid correction
- An assessment of each driver’s ability
- A short demonstration by the trainer of instructional commentary, followed by student practice
- Individual training for each driver, paying particular attention to any specific problems he or she may have
- A full debriefing at the end of each session to provide guidance and advice, specifically in relation to an individual’s risk profile
- A comprehensive printed report for the company, submitted shortly after the course, which includes each individual’s risk profile
- A certificate of attendance for each trainee
